Intake and Onboarding Process
Part 1 Phone Consultation: We offer an intake meeting via phone and/or email. Phone meetings are available to partners (parents) seeking mental health services for their children. The meeting will give partners an opportunity to share reasons for referring their children, and learn more about the services we offer.
Part 2 Assessment and Evaluation: Our Clinical Director completes each assessment after the necessary forms are completed and signed by parents/guardians. gather information about the client and his/her individual needs. The purpose of this meeting is for us to gain an understanding of the client's presenting problem and history; this helps us provide the best and most appropriate treatment.
Individual Services
Child Therapy: We offer individual sessions that are perfect for clients experiencing anxiety, life transitions, extreme sadness, anger, and need help with talking things through while learning healthy and effective coping strategies. After the initial intake and clinical evaluation is completed, clients will be matched with a therapist that best fits their needs; this helps increase the client’s success in treatment.
Pediatric Counseling: We offer individual counseling to children ages 6 - 9 years old who display emotional or behavioral concerns. Some examples include, worry, trouble adjusting to life transitions, sadness, anger, etc. We use a specialized program that develops emotional resilience through modalities like bibliotherapy, movement, art, and forms of play.
Group Services
Therapeutic Groups: We offer groups on a variety of topics: stress, anxiety, divorces, mindfulness, etc. Our groups provide a safe setting where clients, along with their peers, can increase their self-awareness, improve their cooperation and communication skills. Learn how to accept feedback, learn how to be a problem solver, take turns, be honest, share, collaborate with others, show empathy, and so much more!
Specialty Courses: We offer specialty classes on a variety of topics: stress management, social skills, education, healthy coping skills, self-esteem, etc. Courses are designed to teach clients skills and techniques and demonstrate how to put skills into practice. Our courses are interactive, inspire creativity, and affords clients an opportunity to connect with others their own age.
Parent Consulting Meetings: We offer parent meetings, as necessary, related to their child’s behavior/mental health at home or at school. Parents will learn: creative ways to communicate with their children, how to problem solve, how to say ‘no’ using empathy, how to address school issues with confidence, and so much more!
Emergency Services
Crisis Support Services: We offer crisis support to clients experiencing emotional distress (i.e. self-injurious behaviors, suicide ideation). Clients will receive a safety assessment, safety plan, and referral to a higher level of care if they are in immediate danger.
