The Resiliency Treatment Program (RTP) is specific to children who are having academic and behavioral issues that impacts his/her success at school. RTP is a 12 week skill-based counseling program for children and adolescents that offers counseling services at school. The program teaches relevant coping skills and strategies to children experiencing academic difficulties or issues with family members, due to social and emotional related issues (some examples include, but are not limited to: Attention Hyperactivity Deficit Disorder, anxiety, depression, stress, issues with peers, poor self-esteem, trauma, grief/loss, etc.) that may be preventing them from achieving success at school and at home.
At the end of the 12 weeks, the client will transition from the program, and will receive an aftercare support plan for up to 2 weeks. The aftercare plan that will include: check-in with the client, school professionals, and parents/guardians. And, if additional services are needed, further recommendations will be made based on the client’s need or parent request.
The Resiliency Treatment Program provides children high quality care using evidence-based approaches in a therapeutic manner. Your child/student will learn how to control his/her negative emotions, be a problem solver, be respectful and kind to others, and make good choices - all while feeling great about themselves.
