Understanding Your Good Faith Estimate
At Growing Young Minds Counseling, we want to ensure transparency about the cost of your care. The Good Faith Estimate is part of a federal law, the No Surprises Act, designed to protect you from unexpected medical bills.
Here’s what it means for you:
What Is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate gives you an upfront breakdown of the expected costs for the mental health services you’ll receive. This estimate is based on the information we know at the time and helps you plan for your care financially.
Why Do I Need It?
Maryland law and federal regulations require us to provide this estimate to all clients who are uninsured, underinsured, or paying out-of-pocket for services. It ensures you understand the costs ahead of time, preventing surprise bills.
What Does It Include?
The expected fees for therapy sessions or other services we provide.
Any additional information about potential changes to your care that could affect the cost.
What If My Costs Change?
While we do our best to provide an accurate estimate, the actual cost may vary depending on your treatment needs. If there are significant changes, we’ll discuss them with you in advance.
Your Rights
You have the right to receive this estimate before you start services.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the estimate, you can dispute it.
How to Ask Questions
If you have questions about your estimate or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re here to help you feel confident and comfortable with your care. Contact billing@grow-minds.com
